Elina Vagre, "Behind the scene I", 2023
200x140cm, Oil on canvas.
Elina
Vagre, a fourth-year student at the prestigious Latvian Academy of Arts, specializing in the Department of Painting, she has already made a significant impact in the art world. With nine group exhibitions under her belt and participation in workshops alongside renowned artists, Elina's talent and dedication are undeniable. However, what truly sets her apart is her unique artistic philosophy. Elina firmly believes in the temporality of all things, recognizing that ideas, ages, and objects have their own passage of time. She sees cyclicity as the only constant in life, much like the rhythm of nature. This belief fuels her art, as she strives to capture moments of rupture and emphasize instances that alter the overall direction or revert back to a previous state. In a world where art is often static, Elina's work is a breath of fresh air, offering a mesmerizing portrayal of the ebb and flow of life itself.
Due to its large size, the painting is shipped rolled up in a cardboard cylinder without a stretcher bar. Stretching it onto a stretcher bar is a simple procedure that can be done at any of your local framing shops.
